U3W5 Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type poem and activity

Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type
Farmer Brown's cows have found an old typewriter in the barn, and now they are typing notes demanding electric blankets.
I am going to have my students create a cow and then using a "typewriter font"  type a letter  to Farmer Brown on the computer.

Just a reminder that you can download any of the poems that are featured on this blog here:

Lisa,
Thanks for dropping by. My team is a little behind in stories... we will be doing Officer Buckle when we get back. I'm trying to get my poems done in advance...because I'm planning on having a Poetry Cafe for my kiddies (never done one before). My time will be taken up with all those icky Mid-year District Assessments ....therefore, I am planning something fun for them to do after all the testing is done. :)

cute! How long did it take for them to type up their letters?? hehe. I always love seeing your takes on the poems - gives me great ideas!

Jen, I haven't done the story yet. When we get back on Monday we will be working on Officer Buckle and Gloria. I am trying to get ahead for my followers. :) I suspect that it will take me all week to get all 20 kids on the computer to type up a letter. I will keep you posted. LOL!

I love this book/author! I did a post a few months ago with some attached freebie activities and great extension/links to use as well. Check it out if you want to add to the poem/writing lesson. Love it! I'll be sure to add this to the post links section :) http://lilbookchompers.com/?p=179

I use your poems too! They have come in so handy as part of my poetry center.

Check out my Click, Clack resources. I'd be glad to email them to you. I've linked your blog to the poetry center directions. =)
